About Me
I’m Steve and I teach eleventh grade English. I’m from Colorado and I’ve been in Oklahoma for five years now. I like living in Tulsa quite a bit! I like going to concerts, singing karaoke, and getting outside.

Why I Teach
Writing has been central to my life in so many ways. And it’s personal for me, because writing has become a valuable tool for how I process my own thoughts. I want to pass on what I know and am learning to my students because I believe it can enrich their lives. My students will all do better in their wonderful and different paths if they can communicate effectively, including on paper. Everyone’s life is in enriched by becoming a better writer.
I chose this profession because I believe in the power of a liberal arts education. I stay in this profession because I can sleep soundly each night, knowing that what I do matters and that lives are impacted by my teaching.
