About Me
I’m Ashley Allen-White and l teach 9th Grade Algebra. My wife and I share our home with a lively group of pets, including cats, dogs, and reptiles. When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy attending community events and concerts, playing board games, solving puzzles, and spending time outdoors. Whether we’re camping, hiking, fishing, skiing, or exploring nearby states, we love making the most of every adventure.

Why I Teach
I believe every student is capable of success in mathematics. My goal as an educator is to help students build confidence by reshaping how they see math—and themselves. I strive to create a supportive classroom where students feel encouraged to ask questions, persevere through challenges, and recognize their own potential.
I am passionate about helping students develop strong mathematical reasoning through meaningful models, real-world connections, and collaborative problem-solving. My hope is that the confidence and critical thinking skills they gain in Algebra I will not only help them succeed in the classroom but also prepare them to tackle challenges in their everyday lives and future goals.
Currently Available Courses
Algebra I
Algebra I focuses on building a strong foundation in algebraic concepts to prepare students for higher level math and real-world applications. The course focuses on teaching students to reason algebraically, understand patterns and relationships, and represent mathematical situations using symbols. Included in the course is an emphasis on foundational algebraic concepts like solving linear equations, inequalities, systems of equations, graphing, functions, polynomials and factoring, exponents, radicals, applications, and problem-solving.
Intro to Algebra I
Introductory Algebra provides a comprehensive foundation in fundamental algebraic concepts. The course is designed to increase algebra fluency before entering Algebra 1, cover essential topics, and build a strong base for further mathematics study. Beyond just manipulating symbols, the curriculum emphasizes understanding the underlying concepts behind algebraic operations. Intro. to Algebra students are ready to learn concepts including expressions, solving linear equations, inequalities, and graphing functions.
