About Me

I have been a Math and Science teacher for 8 years. From Chemistry and Physics to Geometry and Precalculus, I am your guy. I love watching students grow to love whatever subject I happen to be teaching and try to bring approachable enthusiasm to every lesson. When I’m not teaching, I’m probably working in my garden or helping out on my wife’s family farm. I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 14 years and have a 5 year old son. We are expecting our second in October.

Education

  • Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy , University of Oklahoma

Why I Teach

I teach to serve the students in my classroom. I have always been an intensely curious person and find the things I teach to be genuinely interesting. However, I teach to empower the kids that walk through my classroom doors every day. Developing students into motivated, competent individuals who can engage with their world through a variety of academic tools is my core motivation. I believe that students who feel confident about their abilities can do amazing things. Whether it’s in college or a trade or a completely independent venture, I always strive to provide students with skills that will make them feel less alienated from wherever they happen to find themselves.
