About Me

I’m a Brooklyn transplant via the Tulsa Artist Fellowship. Growing up in Florida, I spent most of my days skateboarding, making art, and shooting hoops. The most important advice I can give: if you can, grow a beard. Favorite childhood movies: The NeverEnding Story, Labyrinth, and White Men Can’t Jump. Greatest TV show: Gumby.

I teach to connect with a collective consciousness and share my passion for creativity. I hope that others can experience the same fulfillment that art has brought to my life.

Currently Available Courses

3D Art

Tris: 1 | Open to: Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors | Prerequisites: Art Foundations

This in-depth course invites students to develop their creative vision, collaborate on group projects, and begin forming their identity as 3D artists. Students explore three-dimensional design through hands-on making, refined craftsmanship, and an understanding of how 3D works are conceived and produced. While the teacher provides guidance and structure, students are expected to propose and develop original concepts for their designs. Goal-setting, thoughtful risk-taking, and high-quality work are emphasized throughout the course.

Art Foundations

Tris: 1 | Open to: Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors |

This course introduces students to essential fine art methods and materials, welcoming both beginners and those with prior experience. Through exploration of the Elements of Art, Principles of Design, and a wide range of media, students learn foundational skills used to create both two-dimensional and three-dimensional works of art.

Drawing I

Tris: 1 | Open to: Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors | Prerequisites: Art Foundations

This class is a beginning drawing class for those who have never drawn before and those who have a grasp of basic drawing techniques. We will begin with line and progress through shape, form, positive/negative space, value, composition and proportion through careful observation and drawing of still lifes, interiors, natural objects and figures.

Drawing II

Tris: 1 | Open to: Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors | Prerequisites: Art Foundations, Drawing I

Building on skills developed in Drawing I, this course deepens students’ drawing practice through a variety of traditional and experimental approaches. Students explore life drawing, linear perspective, gesture, form-building, figure drawing, abstract composition, master studies, color, and mixed media. Emphasis is placed on observation, personal expression, and continued skill development.

Intermediate/Advanced Level Requirements. Art Foundations and Drawing I prerequisites for this course, so students should already have an understanding of Color Theory, the Elements of Art, Principles of Design, introduction to Art History and have strong drawing abilities.

Oil Painting

Tris: 1 | Open to: Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors | Prerequisites: Art Foundations

This course will dive deep into historical and practical oil painting. It’s an intermediate and advanced level of training for students who desire more. Contemporary discourse will be emphasized.

Since the discovery of oil painting, young students would apprentice under a master artist and work their way up. When modernism rolled around, many technical skills were lost or abandoned. This class seeks to re-establish classical knowledge and skills, in a contemporary world. Students will learn direct painting, indirect painting, mediums, ground preparation, canvas stretching, and more.
